For over 30 years in gastronomy, and now at home in the Lindenhof...
From the Lindenwirt then to the Lindenhof today,
the history of our house.
1932 - Ludwig Schmid acquired the "Fuchs Estate".
It was converted into a beer pub with a butcher's shop.
1957 - his daughter Emma Schärl took over the small business.
1960 - the old inn was demolished and taken over by Emma and Ferdinand Schärl
rebuilt.
1980 - Emma and August Eckmeder took over the business.
1982 - the company was expanded again.
An adjoining room for 100 people, seven guest rooms,
a holiday apartment and two terraces were newly built.
1997 - the Lindenhof was completely renovated again.
2007 - "Bavarian Kitchen 2007" competition awarded silver
from the Bavarian Hotel and Restaurant Association.
Certificate "** Superior" of the German hotel certification
from the Bavarian Hotel and Restaurant Association.
2013 - The Stergiopoulou - Pfann family acquired the property and continues the tradition
of the Lindenwirt as a family business. Before that, the host family ran it
in more than 30 years of family and business history very successful gastronomic objects in Nuremberg.
2014 - with the son Asterios, the third generation was integrated into the family business. At the same time he took over part of the management and strives to continue the family tradition .
2015 - the dining room and the hall were renovated and partially modernized with the new lighting, for example, up to 80% energy savings. In addition, the hall was equipped with technology. Microphone system, beamer and 2.4 mx 1.8 m screen are available free of charge for many events.

the beer gardens
The beer garden originated from the serving of beer by the brewer from a beer cellar without the need to operate one Pub required pitcher law. The serving from the cellars was first officially approved in 1812 in the Isar district, today's Upper Bavaria. This development characterizes the appearance of a traditional beer garden, which still exists today, in which the guest sits under shady trees and can bring their own food. In Bavaria, such traditional beer gardens are privileged by restaurant law with regard to noise protection. This is justified with a special meaning of the beer gardens, since they fulfill "important social and communicative functions".
